Matt Cutts from Google predicts:



He says that Google will move to improving on:

- real time inclusion of web content in its searching
- Google will keep working hard on preventing hacking and blackhat SEO from thriving on the web.
- Google will continue to update its user interface.
- Google will expand the type of content or data it searches. It now searches mail, patents, books and will expand on types of data.
- Google will further develop its search to be better understanding conceptual relationships such as synonyms, morphology, etc.
- Google will expand on Cloud storage and search that data
- Will develop its algorithm to be able to find relevant data for obscure searches
- Mobile will be a big trend, after all, Google launched its own cell phone

I haven't studied the topic, but I think it's remarkable Google will be able to have real time inclusion of web content in its searches.

I'd think that would be especially interesting to people and sites dealing with late-breaking news and entertainment events.
