Companies that publish ezines or newsletters already have a guaranteed delivery and can give you figures on how many people open the newsletter and how many click on links in the newsletter.

Search for authority companies that publish newsletters and run test ads in them for short periods of time. You can promote your website, special offers or webinars to the readers. After a couple of ads you will have a great idea of how many responses you get from these newsletter ads.

Stick with the ones that brings you sales or revenue. That way the ads will pay for themselves.
Always here when you need me. I am the forum administrator and a web designer for Online Design Bureau.

I remember looking into newsletters about a year ago with a friend and learning about the choices, including HTML based publications. Is the main reason you'd choose against those that you may want a more streamlined version for mobile devices with smaller screens?

I get some things on my phone that look kind of odd.

that is a valid point there taggart...but I also think the idea of using newsletters or ezines is good...direct ads work best in such cases where u do not want too much of space to scroll through ads while using mobile applications...

I'm sure good electronic publications are very valuable. In my personal experience as a consumer, I don't think I happen to respond to them in terms of buying things, but I have been impressed with well written newsletters to the point where I keep them to read without any intention of signing up for the product.

It really depends on the newsletter. I'm very cautious, but if it's one I trust, and I'm interested, I'll click.

I have received a couple newsletters from a major supermarket chain with coupons to use to get more loyalty points on certain purchases, but both times the coupons wouldn't print properly.

In that case I think it's a good idea that isn't working properly.
