Add ons are the secret in convincing people who are on the fence to choose your product or service. Offer

- Free bonus
- After sale services
- Affiliate programs (that could help the buyer find a one-stop solution)

or simple things like:

- a trust worthy domain name (thisisfurniture.com as oposed to thisisfuriture99.biz)
- professional web design
- good looking product graphics
- persuasive ad copy.

Each one of these suggestions might seem small, but combined ad up to the difference between a powerful, trustworthy brand or just another site.
Always here when you need me. I am the forum administrator and a web designer for Online Design Bureau.

I totally agree with this, people love having a bonus or free offer thrown in, it's an extra plus if that item is of actual value.

I agree. Throwing in bonuses is a great way to grab customers. Humans just cannot resist the possibility of getting something for nothing. It works nine times out of ten!

The design of the site and the name does make a huge difference in the credibility of the site. I only feel comfortable shopping at stores that look well put together and professional in nature.

Regarding the free bonus strategy, I'm surprised how many TV commercials advertise products, quote a price and go on to say you get 2 of them for that price.

That must be a proven strategy and I guess the timing of the offer for the second item is considered as well, which may be trickier on a website with text?

Technical things make a difference too like how fast the page opens up and the uncluttered way the elements like ads are placed. Sadly there are still so many websites that have pop ups and I do say they dether me from opening their site in the future. As you said lorenz...small things do add up to make a big difference.
