Offer a 'mail to a friend' button on your site. Or offer social bookmarking buttons. Give your visitor every chance to promote your site to people that might need your product, service or be interested in your content. Make it easy for them.

Run surveys and learn from your customers: what do the like, what could improve, what do they need, what would they want you to offer, etc.

Social bookmarking buttons are great! I have seen them pop up now on almost every site that I go to, well a good majority of them anyway.

All of these are great ideas. People love to be included in helping your website to succeed (as weird as that sounds).

Good point, Taggert. With the Internet and social networking, it is so easy to share knowledge and products with each other. We should take advantage of human nature (and social networking nature) when marketing our products, websites, etc.
