When writing a blog for a professional enterprise, should it be all business or should there be the personal touch included as well?

Personally I believe that it is important to create an emotional connection in your blog. If you target a business audience, you should make sure every blog post is relevant to your audience and gives them information they value. However, it is not a bad thing to have a personal tone and to reveal bits and pieces about the author. This helps to create a flesh and blood appeal to the blog, that can instigate a bond between the reader and the author. Personality especially pays when replying to comments.
Always here when you need me. I am the forum administrator and a web designer for Online Design Bureau.

I agree with that and I find myself getting interested in a specific email campaign from a music A & R company where the author uses some personal anecdotes to get his points across.

Thanks for the input. I suppose it's a balance in the end. I just know that personally, I get tired of monotone.

Reading a blog is always more interesting when it is from the writers point of view and it includes personal experiences.
Honestly, if one just wants the info they can read it in a book.

That's true. Actually it reminds me of a tv host, like on Food Network. They are big on bringing personality into it.
