What do you think some good example of viral marketing are? I know several movies have benefited from viral marketing, the recent "paranormal activity" and "cloverfield" that came out last year I think.

Without doubt my favorite video on the list is this masterpiece from Nike. 23.5 million people have watched this ad on YouTube. Pure genius.

But my favorite viral campaign is also an English one:

In just 3 months over 3.7 million people have viewed the video making it one of the top campaigns of 2008.

I think maybe the earliest example of viral marketing that I noticed was the buzz created for the movie The Blair Witch Project about ten years ago. That would qualify, wouldn't it?
